STEM – Plate Tectonics

In STEM, we learned about plate tectonics (eerily it was at the same time as Mexico City having a real earthquake on Tuesday). We used brownies and jello as land masses. We then built buildings to see how well they would stand up to a good shake of the “plate” (paper plate)!  Wow, we decided that living in a place like here or Canada was safer than an island like Haiti.
